Michael Thellmann Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Michael Thellmann, 85, of Willowick passed away at Montefiore in Beachwood, OH. Born in Romania, his family fled to Austria where he lived until he came to Cleveland, OH. He was serving in the U.S. Army in Fairbanks when Alaska was admitted as the 49th state of the U.S. He retired from Cleveland Twist Drill after 39 years of service. An active member of Bethel Lutheran Church and of Branch 33 of the Alliance of Transylvanian Saxons, he was a Manry Walker and a member of the Willowick Senior Center. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Maria; daughter, Rosemarie Thellmann (Brian Lott); son, John Michael Thellmann; sister, Maria Luft; brother, Walter Thellmann (Christine); brother-in-law, Martin Schuller (Inge Schuster); sisters-in-law, Maria Thellmann, Rosina Bowser (Bryan), and Dr. Patricia Boehm; cousins, nieces, and nephews. His parents, Michael and Maria Thellmann; brother, Martin Thellmann; sister, Katharina Schuller; and brothers-in-law, Georg Luft and Dr. John Boehm, Jr., are deceased. Please do not send flowers.
