Thomas Richard Hall, Sr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Thomas R. Hall Sr., age 87, of Eastlake, passed away surrounded by his family on Novermber 30, 2020. He was born in Cleveland, on August 22, 1933, the son of Lester and Helen Hall (both deceased) Thomas grew up in East Cleveland. He served in the US Airforce during the Korean War. He was a Mason and Master Mason for 52 years. Upon his return to the US, he worked for the city of East Cleveland as an electrician. In 1961, he became a police officer in the city of Eastlake. He went to photography school at Eastman Kodak in New York. He retired from the force over 9 years as Lieutenant. In 1970, he went to work for Penn Central Railroad until his retirement in 1996. He was also promoted to Lieutenant. He attended firearms school in Greensburg, Pa. He became the firearms instructor, qualifying the departments four times a year. Since retirement, he used his handyman skills, helping his family and friends. He was generous with his time. Thomas a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend, who will be greatly missed by many. Thomas is survived by his loving wife, of 57 years, Patti A. Hall (Droske), his daughters, Sharon (David) Knight, Karin Hall, and Amber (Lou Engbert) Hall, his grandchildren, Alexandrea Ritchie, and Angela Marie Knight, his great grandchildren, Ryan Michael Engbert and Tiffany Galbraith, his sisters, Carol Munaretto, and Nancy Matthews, his sisters-in-law, Rebecca Higgins, and Glenna Yates, and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, PFC Thomas R Hall Jr., his sister, Barbara Chott and his step-father, Walter Parker. Burial to be in Western Reserve Memorial Garden at a later date. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at 4 PM at Monreal Srnick Funerals & Cremations. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 6 from 1-4 PM at Monreal Srnick Funerals & Cremations 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake.
