Valentino Baucco

Valentino Baucco passed away peacefully on April 24, 2019. He was born in Philadelphia, Pa. on June 11, 1925 to the late Vincenzo and Emma Baucco. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Valentino proudly served in the Navy during WWII in the South Pacific. He was an incredible gardener who could grow anything and loved being outside. His greatest joy and source of great pride was his family especially his grandchildren. Val is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 72 years, Patsy Baucco, children Jerry (Jackie) Baucco, James (Cynthia) Baucco, Valentino (Kelly) Baucco, Patty (Otis) Abernethy, grandchildren Josh, Jenna (Sean), Jessica (Waldo), Justin, Jaime, Brittany and Mackenzie, great grandchildren, Alex, Ava, Brayson, Laila, Ella, Lola, Evan, Jonas, Sophia, Dylan, Holden and Mia, siblings Vincent (Judy) Baucco and Rose Polly and his sister-in-law, Carolyn Baucco and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings Michael Baucco, Louis Baucco, and Joseph (Josphine) Baucco, John (Barabara) Baucco, Marion Schimmel, Frank Baucco, and Mary Baucco. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Noon at St Mary Magdalene Church at 32114 Vine St, Willowick. In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Val can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve or the Cleveland Alzheimer’s Association.
