Anthony Michael Hounshell

Anthony Michael Hounshell, age 66, of Eastlake, Ohio, passed away on March 12, 2025. Born on January 27, 1959, in Euclid, Ohio, Anthony lived a life full of love, laughter, and cherished moments with family and friends. Anthony is survived by his devoted wife of 36 years, Susan Hounshell, and their loving children, Anthony Hounshell (Brittany) and Mikaela Baucco (Joe). He was a proud grandfather to his grandsons, Brodie and Noah, and he adored his grand dogs, Callie and Zoey. He is also survived by his father, Lafayette Hounshell, his siblings Chuck (Cheri), Jim (Cindy), Donny, Peggy, and Diane, as well as sisters-in-law Leslie and Robine and mother-in-law Eleanor Ambrose. Anthony leaves behind a wide circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends who were enriched by his vibrant spirit. Preceded in death by his beloved mother, Margaret Hounshell (née Sopko), and his brother, Frank Hounshell. Anthony was a remarkable man who made an impact on everyone he met. As the proud owner of A&S Construction for over 30 years, he dedicated his life to his work, where he was known for his strong character and larger-than-life personality. Anthony was truly the life of the party and had a unique gift for making everyone feel welcome; he never met a stranger. Anthony had a great passion for the water and enjoyed spending time boating with his friends and family. As a member of the Mentor Lagoons Yacht Club, he created many joyful memories on the water. Above all, he found his greatest joy in his family; they were his pride and joy, and his bond with Susan was one of unwavering friendship and love. To honor his life, friends and family will gather to celebrate Anthony's memory on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 3 PM until 7 PM, with a service to follow at 7 PM. The ceremony will be held at Monreal Srnick Funeral Home, located at 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake, OH 44095. In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Anthony can be made to St. Jude. In this time of sorrow, we come together to remember and celebrate a life that brought joy and kindness to all. Anthony's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know him.
