John J. Tirabassi

John Joseph Tirabassi, born on October 23, 1966, in Cleveland, Ohio, peacefully departed from this world on August 29, 2023. He was a devoted husband to his beloved Diane Tirabassi (nee Bednar); a loving father of Matthew, Mark (Erika), Natalie, and Luke; a cherished son to Ralph and Beverly Tirabassi (nee Hoffman); a caring brother of Ralph Jr. (Kathy), Dianne, Linda, Alayne (Max); and an uncle, cousin, friend and cherished member of his community. Beyond his achievements and talents, John's Faith was the pillar of his life. Embracing his Catholic Faith with devotion, he found solace and strength within his Latin Mass community. He was an active member who advocated for the spread of the Latin Mass which enriched his own spiritual journey while supporting and uplifting those around him. John was a man of tremendous talent and intellect. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Cleveland State University, and his passion for technology led him to design the circuit board responsible for controlling the vehicles at e-check, ensuring the accuracy of important readings. Following this achievement, John embarked on a remarkable 30-year career at Lubrizol in Wickliffe, where his expertise and dedication shone brightly. However, John's attributes extended far beyond his professional accomplishments. He possessed an exceptional ability to fix anything and tackle any challenge that came his way. Whether it was lending a helping hand or solving a complex problem, he could always be counted on. To him, the needs of others took priority, and his immense generosity touched the lives of countless individuals. Despite his intellectual brilliance, John remained humble and approachable. He had a remarkable sense of humor and wit, always finding joy in bringing laughter and smiles to those around him. His jokes, often starting off serious only to end in peals of laughter, were a cherished hallmark of his personality. John also developed a love for golf over his life. He honed his skills over the years, often spending his free time on the green, surrounded by his sons, family, and friends. In addition, John could always be found passionately rooting for all Cleveland sports teams, but especially the Cleveland Browns. He would spend countless Sundays, eagerly cheering on his beloved team, fully engrossed in the excitement, triumphs, and even the many lows that came with being a loyal fan. John's family held an irreplaceable place in his heart. He adored his wife Diane and treasured every moment spent with her. Coaching his children's basketball and baseball teams brought him immense joy and pride. His love for his family permeated every aspect of his life, and his presence brought warmth, comfort, and unwavering support to those he held dear. John will be greatly missed, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. In honor of his remarkable life, the family will receive friends on Friday, September 1, 2023 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm at Monreal Srnick Funerals and Cremations 35400 Curtis Blvd. Eastlake, OH 44095. A Solemn High Requiem Mass will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 10:30 AM, at St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church 1930 W. 54th Street Cleveland, OH 44102 (Please meet at the church). Following the Mass, he will be laid to rest at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
