Lauren M. Pachay

With heavy hearts but joyous memories, the Pachay family sadly shares the passing of their beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, Lauren Marie Pachay. On February 9th, 2026 Lauren started her day by seeing her beloved children off to school, she laid down for a nap and unfortunately did not wake up. Everyone who loved her is sadden and stunned over this devastating loss. Lauren was born July 5, 1982 to Sue and Robert Luban in Cleveland, OH. She grew up in Euclid, OH for the first seven years of her life. When she was eight the family moved to Mentor, OH. Which coincidentally was the year she met Joseph Pachay and began their friendship that would later turn into the greatest love of her life. She graduated from Mentor High School in 2000. Lauren's intelligence, sense of humor, and ability to make everyone feel seen helped her later on as a business owner. In the year 2006 her and Joe purchased a family restaurant in Wickliffe, Flavors on the Avenue, after successfully owning and running the business they changed the name in 2018 to Joey's Avenue Eatery solidifying their ties to the community. Lauren leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. She is survived by her loving husband that she has been with for 26 years, Joseph, cherished children Joey, Johnny and Elliana, her mother Sue (Tim) Valentino, brother Nick Luban and future Sister-in-Law Katie Danko. She was the treasured daughter-in-law of Richard Pachay (Shelly Liposky) Her brothers-in-law Rick (Jessica) Pachay and Tim (Kirstie) Pachay. Nieces and Nephews Brandon Rogers, Alexa Pachay, Patrick (Kaylynn Williamson) Pachay, Mackenzie (Brandon) Getz, and Kash Pachay. Aunts & Uncles Mary & Jim Ayers, Kathy Clem & Steve Langdon, Jan & Dennis Sluga, John & Becky Sciko, Joy & Dave Yamane. Kathy & Tom Tanos, Carol Seward, and John Luban. Twenty Cousins, and a slew of friends that are like extended relatives. Lauren never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her Father Robert Luban, Mother-in-law Diana Pachay, Aunt Annie Langdon, Uncle Ken Clem, Uncle Jimmy Luban, Uncle Billy Luban and her brother-in-law Mike Pachay. Lauren, whose radiant presence illuminated every room she entered, passed away after a lifetime of love, laughter, and indelible memories. Born under the sign of Cancer, she embraced the universe's mysteries, often attributing her vibrant spirit to the pull of the moon and the stars. Her personality was as expansive as her heart, drawing friends and family in with warmth and unmistakable charm, always expressing her affection with endearing repetition and heartfelt enthusiasm. Her love was powerful and unwavering. Lauren will be remembered for her immense heart, her contagious laughter, and her ability to light up the lives of those around her. Though her shining star has faded, the memories she created will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Lauren's legacy is one of love, connection, and devotion, and she will be deeply missed. Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, February 16, 2026, from 3:00pm - 7:00pm at Monreal Srnick Funeral Home 35400 Curtis Blvd, Eastlake, OH 44095. A service celebrating Lauren's remarkable life will take place at Monreal Srnick Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 11:00am. Followed by an interment at Mentor Cemetery.
