Stanley John Krantz

Stanley John Krantz, a loving father, devoted husband, cherished grandfather and great grandfather and esteemed member of the community. Stanley departed this life on October 9, 2023, at the age of 100. Stanley was born on September 29, 1923, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Anton and Mary Krantz (Kozel). As an only child he cherished the close-knit family he built with his loving wife, Anne. Stanley's dedication to his family was unwavering, and his love for them knew no bounds. Having served with honor, Stanley was a valued veteran of the United States Air Force during World War II. Throughout his life, he found joy and fulfillment in various pursuits. He had a natural talent and passion for photography, capturing countless beautiful moments and memories. Stanley's green thumb was evident in his skillful gardening and landscaping, creating vibrant and serene natural spaces. His love for exploration took him on numerous travels, broadening his horizons and enriching his life. Stanley was a man of faith, and his spirituality was an essential part of his life. He dedicated many years to teaching Bible study and was a longstanding member of Friends Church in Willoughby Hills. His commitment to his faith was evident in his actions, spreading love and compassion to those around him. Professionally, Stanley's talent and expertise as a projectionist and film editor were renowned. For 35 years, he skillfully operated at WJW-TV, leaving his mark on broadcasting. Stanley will be remembered with everlasting love by his adoring children, Kathleen (Edward) Fieramosca, Timothy (Carol) Krantz, Terri (Bill) Augusta, and Betsy (Paul) Korst. He was a cherished grandfather to Amanda (Scott) Lee, Sara (Edward) Bozich, Danielle Krantz, Laura Augusta, Nick (Jeanne) Krantz, Maribeth Korst, Michael Korst, and Nicole Krantz. The joy of his life extended to his great-grandchildren, Brody, Porter, Emmett, Davidson, Naomi, Elena, little Eddie, Brooks, and Anthony. Stanley was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 68 years, Anne Krantz, and his son David Krantz. Their memories will forever live on in the hearts of their loved ones. Funeral services to honor Stanley's life will be held on October 13, 2023, at 10:00 am at Monreal Srnick Funerals & Cremations. Prior to the service, a visitation will take place on October 12, 2023, starting at 4:00 pm till 7:00pm, also at Monreal Srnick Funerals & Cremations. He will be laid to rest at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon. Stanley John Krantz was a man of integrity, kindness, and strength. He left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him, and his memory will be cherished eternally. May he rest in peace, reunited with his beloved Anne and David.
