Yvonne S. Oravecz

It is with both sorrow and celebration that we announce the passing of Yvonne S. Oravecz (Covic) (66 years of age), who left us on February 21, 2025, at the Western Reserve Hospice House with her husband by her side. Born on September 8, 1958, in Willoughby, Ohio, Yvonne lived her life with grace, strength, and an unwavering spirit that touched everyone who knew her. Yvonne was a member of Western Reserve Harley's Owners Group for many year, she was affectionately known as the "First Lady". She was a longtime member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Willoughby. Yvonne was a dedicated individual, showcasing her remarkable work ethic and leadership quality throughout her career. She inspired those around her and contributed to her community. She was fun-loving, especially enjoying her time in her flower garden. She was a collector of miniature shoes, consistently posting "Just The Right Shoe". Yvonne spent many years, touring the country to attend many different Harley rally's with her husband and friends. Although she loved the Harley, her true passion was for her green Mustang Convertible! Yvonne enjoyed making candles and she would use Mardi Gras Beads to create art pieces, especially making the fleur-de-lis. She had lived in the New Orleans area for ten years, where she started her family. Her warm smile was a source of joy for her friends and family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend who will be dearly missed. Yvonne is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, reunited after a few dates back in the late '70's, Robert C. Oravecz; children, Tara Young Hammond, Kyle (Amanda) Young, and Dana Pavick; her grandchildren, Astella, Amelia, Ben, Cole, Aurora, Carter and Elliot; her brother in law, Tim Spang; her Aunt Mary Lou Hilts; and her emotional support dog, Scooter. Yvonne was preceded in death by her mother, Katherine Schultz, her dad, John Covic, her sister, Carron Spang, her Aunt Carole Mack. Who were a constant source of love and support in her life. Together, they created a life filled with cherished memories, laughter, and endless love. To honor Yvonne's life, a celebration of life will take place from 11am - 2pm on March 1, 2025, followed by her service at 2:00 pm at the Monreal Srnick Funerals & Cremations, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake Ohio. As we remember Yvonne S. Oravecz, let us celebrate the love she brought into our lives and the legacy she leaves behind.
