Raymond D. Dillon

Raymond D. Dillon, age 92, of Eastlake, passed away on August 5, 2021. He was born in Hominy Falls, WV, on June 1, 1929, to the late Saymon and Dovie Dillon. Raymond was a proud employee at General Motors for over 39 years. He was a master of all trades and there was nothing he couldn't fix. One of his best traits was his inability to speak badly of anything or anyone. Ray was a parishioner of St. Justin Martyr for 20 years. He was a wonderful grandfather, role model, and constant in the life of his only granddaughter Cammy. They share a very special and unique bond. Most importantly, Raymond was absolutely loved as a family friend for over 50 years and he is going to be greatly missed by all who knew him. Ray is survived by his cherished partner of 50 years Louise Rom and her son Robert Rom. Ray also leaves behind his siblings Loney Tolley, Glorie Tolley, Cennie Sheffield, Dacie McClung, and Joy Stokley; grandchildren Cammy Lee and Raymond Dillon III; and great-grandchildren, Jenna, Kailyn, Braeden, and Jackson Lee; and Raymond J. Dillon VI, Nicholas Dillon, and Devin Dillon. He was preceded in death by his son Raymond J. Dillon Jr; great-grandson Cody Ray; and siblings Georgie, Audrey, and Daris. Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 from 2 - 6 PM at the Monreal Srnick Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake, OH 44095. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 10 AM at St. Justin Martyr Church, 35711 Stevens Blvd. Burial to follow at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donation be made in Raymond's name, to Hospice of the Western Reserve.
