Deborah Ann Edelman

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Deborah "Debbie" Ann Edelman, who departed this life suddenly on December 9, 2024, in Wickliffe, Ohio, at the age of 70. Born on October 7, 1954, in Euclid, Ohio, to Catherine Swaney (Von Hof) and the late Lawrence Swaney. Debbie was the loving mother of Marcia Bailey (Jason), Michelle Ovsenik (Nick), and the late Stefanie Stastny; the grandmother of Landon, Reece, Miles, Maksim, Mateja, Alexis Ray (Brandon), Sadie, Aiden, and Jaelynn; the great grandmother of Remi; and caring sister of Linda (Jim), Lawrence (Mary), Michael, Sharon(Rick), and the late Robert; and an aunt, cousin, and friend to many more. Debbie dedicated over 50 years of her life to her career at ABB, where she was set to retire in January. Her professional journey exemplified her strong work ethic and commitment to excellence, traits that inspired her colleagues and friends alike. Beyond her professional life, Debbie's true passion lay in her unwavering commitment to her community. She selflessly volunteered her time for various organizations, including the Miracle League, Keeping Wickliffe Beautiful, and WE CARE, a noble initiative that raised funds for Rainbow's Babies and Children's Hospital and other vital causes. Through her work, she touched the lives of countless individuals, embodying a spirit of generosity that knew no bounds. A pillar of support for her family, Debbie loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, attending every sporting event and celebration she could. Her support and encouragement meant the world to her loved ones, and her presence will be profoundly missed. Debbie's life was a reflection of selflessness, compassion, and dedication to others. She lived for her family, her community, and the causes she cared deeply about. Family will receive friends from 3:00-8:00PM on Friday, December 13, 2024 at Monreal Srnick Funeral Home 35400 Curstis Blvd, Eastlake, Ohio 44095. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church 29850 Euclid Ave, Wickliffe, OH 44092. Urn burial to occur at a later date at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon. In this time of grief, we hold on to the cherished memories of Debbie Ann Edelman-a beautiful spirit who leaves an indelible mark on our hearts.
