Thomas J. Kaiser

Thomas Joseph Kaiser, age 69, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. Born in 1957, Tom was adopted by his loving parents, Paul and Patricia, and raised in Lambertville, Michigan. As a boy, he found immense joy outdoors-hunting, trapping, and fishing. During high school, he participated in a transformative, year-long exchange program in Annecy, France, traveling across Western Europe and creating memories that stayed with him for the rest of his life. Upon returning to the States, Tom attended John Carroll University, where he was a proud President and member of Alpha Kappa Psi, before going on to graduate from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. Following two decades in private practice, he discovered his true professional calling with the City of Cleveland Law Department, where he served with distinction as Chief Trial Counsel. Throughout his life, Tom remained an avid outdoorsman. He treasured time spent boating on the lake, the camaraderie of his fellow Northeast Yacht Club members, and the quiet serenity of his hunting cabin in Pennsylvania. A proud American and dedicated member of the Republican National Committee, Tom was also a staunch supporter of President Donald Trump. His family and many friends will forever remember him for his sharp wit, quick humor, and steadfast, stoic nature. Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Luba; his brother, Fred; and his sisters, Kateri and Priscilla (Dale). He is survived by his wife, Susan Brandt-Kaiser; his children, Andrew, Thomas, William, and Maureen (Kevin); his grandchildren, Isabelle and Theodore; his sister, Katie (Fred); the mother of his children, Christina; and his nieces and nephews, Ashley, Samantha, Luke, Paul, and Jake. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 19951 Lakeshore Blvd, Euclid, OH 44119. Following the Mass, a reception honoring Tom's life will be held from 12:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Northeast Yacht Club, located at 14321 Lakeshore Blvd., Cleveland, OH. Please note that parking on club grounds is limited, and carpooling is strongly encouraged. In lieu of flowers or memorial donations, contributions in Tom's honor may be made to the National Rifle Association (NRA).
