Dawn M. Igarashi, age 64, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026, surrounded by the family she cherished so deeply. Dawn was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on September 19, 1961. Dawn lived a beautiful, simple, and happy life-one she proudly built hand-in-hand with her beloved husband of 43 years, Ron Igarashi. Together, they created a legacy of love, commitment, and laughter that defined their household. Dawn's ultimate joy was her family, particularly her grandchildren. A central figure in her community, Dawn spent 27 dedicated years as the Principal Secretary at WE Schools - retiring from School of Innovation in 2024. For nearly three decades, she was the warm smile that greeted students, the reassuring voice on the phone for parents, and the organized anchor that kept the school running smoothly. Her impact on generations of families and colleagues will never be forgotten. Those who knew Dawn will always remember her lively, active spirit. She was an avid pickleball player who loved the energy and friendship she found on the court. She was also a passionate and enthusiastic shopper with an eye for style-particularly when it came to her impressive and treasured collection of purses. In 2024, Dawn was diagnosed with breast cancer. She met the diagnosis with immense courage, fighting a valiant and heroic battle that showed her true strength and inspired everyone who stood by her side. Dawn is survived by her devoted husband, Ron Igarashi; her beloved children, Nicole (Brandon) Bate and Kevin (Kristin) Igarashi; and her cherished grandchildren, Annabel, Delilah, Callum, Jack, Harry, Grace, and Wells. She is also survived by her loving sisters, Terri (Jim) Hoelting and Vicki (John) Sulecki, as well as many dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Lester and Adeline C. Zingale. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Dawn's life on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 4pm till 8pm at Monreal Srnick Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd, Eastlake, OH 44095. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at 10:30am also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dawn's memory to Susan G.
